1968: Rev. Adrien Molenschot, Avoyellean of the Year

Rev. Adrien Molenschot, Avoyellean of 1968 Catholic Priest, Boy Scout Leader, Adult Choir Director,

St. Martin of Tours Church designed by Rev. Molenshot, Fashioned in the shape of a Greek cross, the current St. Martin church building was dedicated by Bishop Charles P. Greco on August 21, 1966. The building is made of Arkansas stone and was built at a cost of $72,000 by Lemoine Brothers of Cottonport. It was designed by Barron, Heinberg and Brocato after a plan was drawn up by Father Adrian Molenschot, pastor of the church.
